Positive: A beautiful period Italian castle nestled in the exquisite Appenines mountain range. The owner/manager is very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The hotel itself was clean and mostly comfortable. We visited Gubbio which is a gorgeous town and well worth your time!

Negative: The hotel has so much potential to be a stand out boutique hotel! It needs a lot of TLC and seems a little neglected in places (particularly the pool and tennis court). Our room was near the top and the pipework struggled to provide water to the shower and taps. It’s the Italian Fawlty Towers, that said, we still loved it! We really hope it can be reinstated to match the photos!

Summary: A beautiful small castle that promised so much more!
