You could almost believe that this saffron-yellow Mediterranean villa estate with its olive, fig and carob trees, its palms, cypresses and cacti, had sprung up from Campos's fertile earth itself. Newly built in 2015, as honest, uncomplicated and sun-ripened as a good wine, a little prickly in parts and bursting with character, the first taste will have you wanting more. A uniquely crescent-shaped pool wrapping around the covered terrace provides all the water you need for your daily dip- it's a real head turner! This is the place to comfortably while away the day - with a late breakfast, a magazine, or a glass of wine - while the children splash safely around you. You could almost talk about a holiday in the pool rather than at the pool, and you might be tempted to jump directly out of one of the windows straight into the cooling water (but please don't - it's reckless and you'll injure yourself)...but "Ca Na Carmen" will make sure you don't lose your head.
Just like a fruit living up to the promise of its outer skin, the interior here does not disappoint: Mallorcan, down to earth, sunshine-bright and floral. A fresh breeze seems to blow through the house, and airy curtains lend a light touch to the room. The spacious, open-plan living, cooking and dining area flows comfortably around bright blue sofas inviting you to sink down and immerse yourself in a film night. Or, of course, you can also drift off into the realm of dreams in the pleasantly simple bedrooms with their solid wood beds; bedrooms are furnished in a choice of darker or lighter furniture, and one of the upper bedrooms is blessed with direct access to a sheltered balcony with magnificent views over the trees to the mountains beyond; anyone sleeping here can cheerfully leave the door open. The bathrooms - one on the ground floor and one upstairs - are each shared between two bedrooms. It only remains to mention the modern, well equipped kitchen with its own little place in the sun, where crisp, fresh vegetables bought at the weekly market in Campos hang appetisingly on the walls: a paradise for vegetarians and raw-foodies - if it wasn't for the fantastic brick-built BBQ right outside just crying out to be used. It would be a shame not to... ¡Buen provecho!
